Sonya Snedecor joined the Pharmerit team in 2005 and is currently Principal and Executive Director in the Bethesda office leading the Modeling & Meta-Analysis Center of Excellence. At Pharmerit, Sonya uses her expertise in computer modeling to create epidemiologic and economic evaluations of vaccines and infectious disease including pneumonia, malaria, and HIV.
She also has considerable experience and publications in the areas of systematic reviews and evidence synthesis including network meta-analyses, synthesis of survival data as well as other types of non-comparative data. Sonya’s research has included a variety of disease indications including vaccines, HIV, oncology, urology, and inflammatory conditions and many of her HE evaluations and meta-analyses have been used to support reimbursement requests. Sonya Snedecor has formal PhD training as a biomathematician from the University of California at Los Angeles (BA, Hampton University) where she created differential equation models to simulate the dynamics of HIV infection. In addition, she has also held post-doctoral training fellowships in biostatistics (UCLA) and pharmaceutical economics (University of Florida).
