Charlie Iaconangelo is a Psychometrician and Statistician on the Patient-Centered Outcomes team. He holds a PhD in Psychometrics and a MS in Applied Statistics from Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey.
His research and publications have focused on applications of latent class modeling and item response theory to clinical outcome assessments. His methodological research has focused on developing the Diagnostic Classification Model framework to improve modeling of patient outcomes. Additional methods development has addressed non-random missing data in clinical trials. Prior to graduate school, he served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Micronesia, where he taught 8th grade and successfully prepared students for entrance exams to private high schools, sparking his interest in psychometrics.
