Cécile van Steen is a Research Analyst in the Rotterdam office, the Netherlands. Cécile works within the Strategic Market Access Center of Excellence. Her main expertise is conducting both targeted and systematic literature reviews according to stringent NICE criteria. Cécile has experience with literature reviews covering topics including epidemiology, economic and clinical impact and treatment patterns in a variety of disease areas. These disease areas include vaccines, respiratory diseases, inflammatory diseases, oncology and hematology.
Besides literature reviews, Cécile has also been involved in developing value messaging slide decks. Cécile obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Policy and Management (Erasmus University Rotterdam, the Netherlands) in 2016. She wrote her Bachelor thesis on the added value of multi criteria decision analysis in the reimbursement process of expensive drugs and she did a poster presentation about her findings at ISPOR. Cécile obtained a Master’s degree in Health Economics (Erasmus University Rotterdam, the Netherlands) in 2017, writing her master thesis on the cost-effectiveness of Ibrutinib in chronic lymphocytic leukemia.
