Anuj Shah is an Associate Scientist in Pharmerit’s Bethesda office, supporting the Real-World Evidence & Data Analytics team. Anuj’s experience includes, conducting policy analyses, developing cost effectiveness models, analyzing data from national surveys (e.g. MEPS, HCUP) and utilizing commercial (e.g. IMS LifeLink PharMetrics Plus) and government claims databases (e.g. Medicaid) for epidemiological studies.
Anuj is a 4th year PhD candidate at the Division of Pharmaceutical Evaluation and Policy (PEP) in the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. He received his BPharm from the University of Mumbai, India. He was awarded a doctoral fellowship by the Arkansas Center of Health Improvement for his dissertation research which focuses on determining the impact of Medicaid Expansions and ACA on Healthcare Utilization. He has 5 peer-reviewed publications on topics including opioid use, atrial fibrillation, gastrointestinal disorders, and use of smoking cessation agents and his publication on opioid use received national recognition and media coverage.
