As an undergraduate, she conducted research at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital (located in Boston, MA) in the Cognitive Neurology Unit with the focus of modernizing an items-based questionnaire using transient public/news events to establish a timeframe for cognitive decline in patients with MCIs and early-stage dementias. At BU, Alyssa did research at the Twin Project Lab where social and behavioral development was examined in twins aged 3-5 years to determine if genetic or environmental factors influenced outcomes. Alyssa holds a BA in Biology and minor in Economics from Boston University.
