Reaching Out. Giving Hope. Improving Lives.
Help the earth and spread joy by taking part in the Sunflower Challenge!
The sunflower is a symbol of joy and life, but also a symbol of loyalty and longevity. This year for Earth Day on April 22, 2020, Caremerit will be holding a sunflower growing challenge. Prompted by the current circumstances around the world, we’re hoping to spread joy and show how we are all facing the challenges around us by coming together and growing sunflowers. All Pharmerit and OPEN Health employees will be competing over the next few months to see who can grow the tallest sunflower. Share your photos on Facebook, LinkedIn and/or Twitter remembering to tag @Pharmerit and @OPENHealth and use the hashtag #sunflowerchallenge.
Our Caremerit CSR initiative is completely employee-driven by our dedicated team. Each year a new theme is selected by the group to align our global focus. 2019 was led by Laura Smith van Carroll as we took action in our local communities around the globe and encouraged others to go green by making small changes that add up to making a big difference. 2020 will be led by Camilla Kyewaah as we plan to focus on community. Caremerit is taking charge in the joint action of serving our communities around the globe by participating in numerous activities to serve our respective communities and engage with each other via global initiatives.
In 2017, Pharmerit established Caremerit to promote and lead the company’s corporate social responsibility efforts. Our aim is to improve our world and our local communities around us by sharing our skills and knowledge to help those in need of care.
It is part of our culture and how we live out our mission: to improve patient access to medical care through evidence, worldwide.
This employee-driven program is made up of representatives from each office location and Center of Excellence – a truly global Pharmerit initiative. Caremerit’s goal is to live out our mission in a hands-on way, by promoting and supporting health internally and in the communities around us.
Pharmerit’s Caremerit team has developed strategic goals in the following areas:
Supporting Communities – We seek to create a healthier world, one community at a time. Volunteer contributions include: support projects, sport fundraising events, and the sponsoring of scientific and educational organizations like ISPOR and AMCP
Environmental Sustainability – We believe we need to support humanity’s most urgent goals, including the need to improve quality of life for people around the globe while reducing our impact on our environment. We have implemented facilities for waste management, incorporated green design standards and concepts into our new offices, and applied technology to solve global challenges.
Empowering Employees – We are committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace environment where our employees can deliver their best every day.
“Serving the community is a personal mission of mine. Being able to do this work with Caremerit is an immeasurable reward and also reinforces the values of Pharmerit”
