Project example 1: Haemophilia
In a Bayesian meta-analysis we integrated all published data on the efficacy of two bypassing agents for the treatment of bleedings in haemophilia patients with inhibitors. In addition, we developed a novel dose-regimen dependent efficacy framework to integrate the dose-regimens in a coherent unifying approach. These methods allowed us to make a comparison between the typical treatment regimens of the two agents based on data of over 2,000 bleeds, rather than using only the data of the two existing direct comparative trials based on 96 and 68 bleeds respectively. The results of this project have been reported in a scientific article in Haemophilia.
