Ning Yan Gu, MS, PhD
Ning Yan Gu is a senior researcher with Pharmerit North America in the Bethesda, Maryland office. She holds a bachelor's degree in International Economics with a minor in Accounting from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and a master's degree in Economics from Florida State University (FSU). She will receive her PhD degree in Clinical Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Economics and Policy from the University of Southern California during the fall of 2009.
Ning's job responsibilities with Pharmerit include designing, implementing , and analyzing projects on patient quality-of-life (QoL) research, econometric modelling and claims data analysis. Ning specializes in health-related quality-of-life (HRQoL) measurement using latent trait modelling techniques. She has been actively involved in various research collaborations with physicians from medical schools, as well as researchers from the pharmaceutical industry on projects such as clinical surveys, health utility assessment/preference eliciation, claims data analysis on costs and methods, and buiding decision models. She is also an active participant and a presenter at various international conferences, particularly the EuroQoL plenary scientific meetings where she has presented her continous research on the EQ-5D instrument. |
