Marja Hensen, MSc

Since 2006, Marja Hensen works at the Dutch office of Pharmerit in Rotterdam, as senior research consultant. She holds a M.Sc. degree in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Leiden. Her main expertise is in strategic market access and pricing and reimbursement research. She performed several international payer surveys interviewing national, hospital and local decision makers, and investigated European pricing and reimbursement systems for the Dutch Healthcare Insurance Board as well as for various international pharmaceutical companies. She has experience with P&R systems in the big EU countries Germany, the United Kingdom, France, Italy and Spain, but also in the Netherlands, Belgium, Finland, Austria and Poland. Disease areas she has worked in include transplantation, vaccines, liver cancer, eye diseases, haemophilia and infectious diseases. Besides her work in pricing and reimbursement research, she has also been involved in preparing a value dossier and in performing health economic analyses of a schizophrenia treatment.
