Paul Verboom, MSc
Paul’s responsibilities will include overseeing the project from a scientific and strategic perspective. He will also be responsible for most of the operational work and programming. Paul Verboom joined Pharmerit in 2007. Prior to joining Pharmerit, Paul worked for the institute of Medical Technology Assessment (iMTA) at the Erasmus University Medical Center. He was responsible for many studies in many different indications. His work consisted of data analysis, modeling and costing. He has experience with cost-effectiveness studies for diagnostic testing in cancer. Mainly, the staging of lung cancer using the PET scan. Paul worked for the World Health Organization (WHO) in Geneva (Switzerland) for two years and was responsible for developing a model calculating the health system costs for developing countries. He is still often working on WHO projects that involve modeling. He studied business economics at the Erasmus University of Rotterdam. |
